hôtel bien situé, rapport qualité/prix correct, il faut demander des chambres sur cour pour le calme, le personnel ne parle pas français... grande chambre avec kitchenette, dommage qu'il n'y ait pas de baignoire pour se délasser après des journées bien remplies. sur le site venere, un plan d'accès détaillé (via transports en commun) serait le bienvenu. je recommande cet hôtel.

, it is a nice place to stay in prague.the rooms are clean and light, but a little bit noisy (next to the main road).we were warmly welcomed,the staff is very nice. also, the breakfast is wonderful, you can eat as u want,not just cold foods but hot eggs and bacon. the most interesting thing in the room is the small kitchen, it hide in a clothespress. wneh we open the doors, just like alibaba find the wealth.hoho!!!!,

, hotel was ok. rooms were clean (most important) and for quite large. very close location to i.p. pavlova (metro-tram station). the receptionist was very nice, helped a lot with the map. no need to take the taxi in prague if you are not late than 02.00 am. also walking distance to wenceslas square if you are good with the directions. i recommend this hotel if you dont want to pay over 100-150 eur to similar quality one located in the centre. you can also use the hotel cab to go to airport, fair price.,

, the hotel was extremely clean and the breakfast was very decent. the room was very comfortable with a kitchenette. the only problem with the hotel was the location it was very far from where the action is. but that is probably why the hotel was 200 euros less than the hotel we stayed at after our cruise. we did walk to the charles bridge from the hotel. i would not walk back at night due to the distance. a cab ride was about 180-200 kroner. make sure you establish the price before you get into the taxi. the first taxie driver charged almost double! this is a very nice hotel for the very budget minded traveler. if you can afford a big splurge eat at the blue duckling or at david'.s. if at the blue duckling, be sure to make reservations and ask to be seated on the floor where the pianist is. (if you don'.t have a problem walking up stairs.) a very elegant and enjoyable evening. the kafka museum is very different and the warhol museum is also interesting. one of the highlights of prague is strolling along the river at night. it is truly beautiful. be sure to pack comfortable walking shoes! enjoy!,

, this is a fine small hotel, centrally located, very clean, with nice roomy confortable rooms and good bathrooms. since our room did not overlook the street, it was very quiet. i would suppose that rooms overlooking the street would be more noisy because it is a busy street.the hotel is near the metro and trams and i would encourage tourists to buy a transportation pass for the number of days they stay in prague. the breakfast was also very good.,

, the breakfast is very good. the location is within 10 minute walk of wensclas square and easily accessible (walk) to public transport. the bedding is skimpy if this is important and you must ask for additional toiletries if you are staying longer than 2 days. the hotel sits on a busy one way main street so can be noisy during day but in evening traffic quiets until morning commute (around 7:30 am).,

, we reserved a month before our arrival and specified that we wanted a quiet room facing the back. we were greeted by a very unfriendly clerk and were told that would not be possible. we spoke to a different clerk the next morning and he somehow found one for us. the front rooms are incredibly noisy and the rug in our room was filthy, so i would not recommend this hotel or stay there again. another guest also had a problem that they seemed reluctant to take care of.,

, a very professionally run hotel, the staff are very helpful though a few more smiles would brighten the stay of their guests. unfortunately the hotel is on a very busy street. i stayed in a room facing the street and it was very noisy, even with the windows closed. on the other hand the room was very large, included a small kitchenette and was very clean. it is a block or so from the i.p pavlova subway station and about a fifteen minute walk (down that very heavily used 3 lane one way street) from wenceslas square. breakfast was fine, served in a below street level room, pastries, cold cuts, etc. i might stay there again if i could be assured of a rear facing room.,

, a good find in prague, though the surrounding area is not so nice and no nearby good restaurants. it is outside the city center but accessible by metro and tram. the hotel iself is nice, very spacious room with high ceilings. however they turn off the air conditioning by during the day and by midnight that you have to nag them to turn it back on. the staff are quite helpful despite their limited english.,

, me busquÉ su situaciÓn gracias a una traducciÓn de inglÉs y desearÍa mejorarla yo, pues me ayudÓ mucho, las fotos que habian hecho unos espaÑoles eran exactas a la que a mi me tocÓ y ademÁs tomÉ fotos, la acogida segÚn su evaluaciÓn me fie, es inexacta al decir multibilingüe, no es verdad es bilingÜe, espaÑol nada salvo un seÑor maduro en recepciÓn que incluso le pagamos antes para no tener problemas, de hecho fue exacto el precio que se me dijo anteriormente en venere. la acogida fue fria e incluso ofensiva pues la recepcionista del dia 27 a las 12'.15 que llegamos de la maÑana murmuraba por lo bajo por no hablar inglÉs y muy despectiva(ella no hablaba italiano, estabamos igual), una cliente es la que me ayudÓ en italiano a explicarme e incluso me daba la razÓn de la acogida que nos hicieron, la 1ª noche el agua fria de la ducha y bajÉ despues para que la pusieran caliente para mi hijo, las toallas las cambiaban todos los dÍas, pero no los geles que un sobre para cada uno en 5 dÍas, al 5º nos pusieron mÁs,pero el ventilador que tienen en el baÑo continuamente a veces te despertaba, estaba la habitaciÓn en el interior asÍ pues no oiamos la calle que era cÉntrica, el desayuno genial variado y caliente, era la 1ª vez que estaba,

, the hotel is not exactly central, but there is a metro/tramway station 400m away. moreover, it takes about 15-20min to walk from the hotel to the old part of the town. the hotel has an excellent price vs. quality tradeoff because the rooms are very good, the staff is very attentive and it is not far from the sightseeing points. the only bad remark about the rooms is that they use single beds to make a double bed an it is not as comfortable as an actual double bed. i enjoyed very much the stay.,

, this is good hotel, and i would recommend it if you're on weekend stay in prague. it's clean, spacious and generally well located. the city center and general attractions are just a 15 minute walk away, and wenscelaw square is only 5 minutes away., the personal in the hotel was really friendly and courteous. they even let us check in 4 hours before the official check in time. the manager speaks fluently english and spanish, so that's a plus.,

the hotel residence select is an excellent hotel offering a superb service and i would strongly recommend it to others. the rooms are extremely spacious and have the added advantage of a fridge and mini kitchenette. the free internet in the hotel lobby was also an extra bonus. the hotel is a 15 minute walk from wenceslas square but this did not concern us being fairly fit adults but could be an issue for less able guests - however the taxi ride to the centre would only cost a few euros. overall we had a wonderful stay at this hotel and would certainly use it again when returning to prague.

we loved hotel residence select! we certainly were pleased with the size of the room. they provided a crib and a room in the back, suggested by another venere guest, for a quieter evening and beautiful garden view. the hotel was not in a bad neighborhood, but a short walk to the metro and many tourist sights. we didn't rent a car and traveled with our young infant without difficulty or concern, except for the cold weather. we will definitely recommend to other friends traveling to prague. we'll be back if we are ever in prague again!

we were not advised by the hotel that they had placed us on the street side... which is, it is true, a bit noisy due to quick traffic..., be just aware of that should you be sensible to noise... apart from that, we had a very nice stay and could pretty much hang around by feet, which is the best way to discover prague.

hotel in posizione strategica, a 200 metri dalla fermata della metro ed a 400 da piazza veceslao, da li si può benissimo partire per visitare la città a piedi. ottima accoglienza con schampagne di benvenuto ed una ragazza stupenda alla reception che ci ha dato delle ottime indicazioni sia per dove mangiare che per come iniziare la visita della città. la stanza grande,confortevole e pulita, forse un pò rumorosa. consigliatissimo!!....dimenticavo, colazione ottima.

stayed for 4 nights, mother and daughter travelling together. the hotel was perfect for us, very central, walking distance to st wenceslao square and museum. the room was clean and so was the bathroom and shower. perfect if you want to go out in the morning and return in the evening after a long day of shopping and sightseeing. we requested a room at the back of the hotel and we could not hear any noise from the street despite its central location. would definitely return and recommend to other people. breakfast was not luxurious but we did not mind too much.

that was the kind of hotel we needed. not far from the center or from public transportation. just 200 meters from i.p.pavlova underground station and then just one stop and you are at st.venceslaw's square. also the price (considering) we were close to new year's eve was really good. i suggest this hotel and, in case of a next visit to the city i'll choose it again.

i got a quite room on the backyard, but unfortunatly in the room up to mine there were people "heavy walking" disturbing my relax., breakfast should be improved (hot meal only on sat-sund, poor quality of ham, etc.). very good welcome. friendly and clean hotel: i can recommend it anyway., price in euro (99€) have been changed in crown as higher: 102€; this has to be considered as well.it would be nice to pay with euro to mantain the rate.

it is appreciable that the main features of the hotel correspond to what indicated on the web page. the price of the room is good considered the quality of the services offered. the only negative thing was that the towels in the room were changed only any three days. the staff is friendly and competent., the rooms are large, and coeffee or tea facilities are provided. a free internet service is available., the reception area is not very large., i would recommend this hotel to anybody visiting prague

i would recommend this hotel to anyone, only ask for a room in the back facing the courtyard, as the front rooms are onto a main road, and are noisey. i wouldnt say the staff were very friendly, but overall we had a good stay.

es un hotel plenamente recomendable. se encuentra a unos 15 minutos del centro pero si tienes prisa a 4 minutos está el metro y el tranvía que te deja donde quieras. las habitaciones son grandes y están bastante limpias. la única pega es que se oye algo los coches de la calle, pero normalmente llegas tan cansado que ni te enteras. sinceramente y viendo lo que hay por ahí, es muy recomendable y más si tienes en cuenta los precios de otros hoteles. por ciero pide al hotel un taxi para que te vaya a buscar al aeropuerto. vale 580 coronas y merece la pena. el desayuno sin estridencias pero cumple.

good hotel. in the beginning the room was hot and the air conditioning was off. we were informet that they will not put it on since it is not summer yet. "fortunately" the weather became colder and the room cooler too. othervise it would have been bad since the room was to the street and because of the noise, it was not possible to keep the windows open in the night. staff was polite and helpful and breakfast ok. room was spacious and clean.

nice and intimate hotel with basic facilites. excellent service. located along heavily trafficated road, but that is not noticeably if you request for a room on the backside., price is a bit expensive compared to just a basic, but good, standard. but your money is well spent in any way, choosing this hotel., hotel location is great! just 5-10 minutes walk from national museum and the wenceslas square., hotel has it's own airport shuttle, a little cheaper than the more profiled companies.

overall we had a great stay in residence select. the personnalized welcoming has been really appreciated (the manager's welcome letter and the free drinks at the bar). even if it's not located in the heart of the touristic atractions it's not really a problem with the subway station and the trams that are only a couple of blocks away. and for those who are not scared by a few kilometers walk, all the major places are easily reachable (prague is so beautiful, you're missing a lot of nice places in the subway)., only negative point, during our stay we would have liked to change a few bath towels. so as usual, we have put only the towels to change in the shower. to our surprise the towels were back on the rack (2 days in a row!!!).

the hotel was excellent. very close to the metro (3 minute walk) and to the wencenslas square (10 minute walk). there was a welcome drink when we arrived!! very friendly staff. breakfast was great - plenty of food - meats, breads, cereals, coffee/tea/juices, yogurt, boiled eggs....good value. our room was huge and super clean. we requested a room facing the courtyard so it was very quiet. overall, i would highly recommend!

we stayed for eight nights at this well located, reasonably priced hotel. request a room facing the courtyard to avoid street noise. the desk clerks were very helpful in making special reservations for us. the only negatives were that the hot water ran out by 9:30pm and the computer in the lobby broke during our stay and wes never repaired. the evergreen club restaurant (one block south and east at tyrsova 6) had a wide selection of excellent, reasonably priced food and great service.

lovely big room with bonus basic kitchenette - hotplate, sink and fridge (but no microwave), the room faced a courtyard and was very quiet, though i would think the ones facing the street could be noisy., the hotel was initially hard to find as it was on the opposite side of the street to the map placement, and building numbers are very confusing. , the metro is a block and a half away easy to use, fast and efficient. but watch out for your backpack on crowded escalators!, breakfast is included, lots of choice of self-serve items., internet is free!, a restaurant recommended by the receptionist (evergreen club restaurant) is just around the corner, and excellent. try the roast duck breast with dumplings - yum., i will definitely use this hotel again.

i have just returned from my stay in budapest and would whole heartedly recommend residence select. the place was lovely, very clean and spacious and the young woman who met me, and later responded to a problem i encountered with the lights, was helpful and very welcoming. a lovely place - i would stay there again. the only negative that i found was i did notice noise from the apartment above me - wood floors and someone walking around in shoes but this was minor compaired to all the positives.

we wanted a cheap hotel but with a bit of class and we were nothing but impressed!! the hotel was fantastic quality with huge rooms (sofa and kitchenette included as well as the ensuite bathroom). the staff were very friendly and helpful, a buffet breakfast of very good quality (ham/cheese/cereals/bread/croissants/yoghurts etc). we stuffed ourselves and hardly needed lunch...! if you are looking for negative points, it is in the 'business' side of prague, so a 10/15min walk to the museum and main shopping/central part. however, there is a metro just one block away, and near plenty of trams too! so even if you do not want to walk - it is not a problem. (a little supermarket v.close too for some cheap drinks and snacks). i definitely reccommend this hotel. it is a quality hotel for a fantastic price!!

this is an excellent value-for money hotel situated within walking distance of all prague's attractions. the room was huge with a great 'kitchen-in-a-cupboard' . we asked for a quiet room and were given one facing an inner courtyard - i would recommend doing this as the road outside the hotel was very busy. highly recommended.

hotel graziosissimo. l'autobus passa davanti l'hotel e la fermata del metrò è a circa cento metri; una fermata per piazza venceslao. il personale è abbastanza qualificato e disponibile. le stanze sono ampie, pulite e confortevoli, con cucinino corredato di stoviglie e cassaforte. alla reception possibilità di prenotare escursioni con sconti. buona la colazione, servita in una saletta accogliente che non abbiamo mai trovato affollata. considerando il rapporto qualità prezzo si può benissimo definire ottimo.

this hotel was very good and very reasonably priced for the quality of room. the staff we friendly and generally helpfull. however there was a bit of a mix up when we arrived as we were presented with a security desposit of 3000 czk per room after we had already paid upfront for the room. this was eventually sorted but i am not sure they were 100% sure they new what they were doing either. having said that i would be happy to recommend this hotel and if i went to prague again i would stay here.

this was a very clean & spacious hotel, very good value for money., the only complaint i can make against the hotel was that you had to go outside to smoke, there was even a smoking ban in the bar!, if i went to prague again i would get a hotel closer to the centre because it seemed a long walk back to the hotel every night after a good meal and few beers. saying that, it was only a ten minute walk to wencelas square or a 3 minute taxi ride away., overall it was a very good hotel, great value for money, plenty to eat for breakfast and the rooms were very big.

spent one very comfortable week at this hotel., location is good, 4 blocks from major tourist attractions. the room was more than we expected. the room was two levels, with seating area, dinning room, kitchenette and bath room on one level; bedroom was in loft area. skylights for both levels. it was a good touch by management to provide us with a welcoming bottle of champaige. also used the free internet connections to contact friends back in the states. i would hardly recommend this hotel. friends of ours obtained a room at a competitor, however, that room was so small that no more than 3 people could fit in it and they paid approximately 30% more than we did.

the noise on the street side of the buidling is considerable as the residence is located on a fairly major artery. we were very unhappy with ventilation as the neighbours' cigaret smoke was carried quite pungently into our room by the duct. otherwise this place met our needs quite well. p.s. no decaf coffee!

the room was very spacious with the added bonus of a mini kitchen. we were situated at the front of the hotel with a busy main road below so light sleepers beware, although after all the walking around prague sleeping wasn't a problem. its a good location, just a couple of minutes from the metro & trams and about 10 minutes walk to wenceslas square. reception staff were very nice but a chambermaid did take some juice fromt the mini bar & charge it to us on the last day! despite this i would stay there again

our room was spacious, cheerful and clean with a kitchenette. after reading other venere reviews i requested a quiet room at the back, which they provided. breakfast was lovely and internet availability conveninet. the one flaw was a charge for a locksmith when we left the key inside the door's lock. the charge was modest -- $22 in us dollars, but it seeemed small minded on the part of the hotel's manager. front desk staff were pleasant and helpful.

we have just returned from 3 nights in prague staying at the residence select. it was exactly as described on the website. the welcome was very friendly, rooms were spacious, clean and well equipped. enough to eat in if you wanted to. the hotel is not in the centre of the tourist area but it's only 10 minutes walk from wenceles square and all the shops. only 5 minutes walk to the trams and metro which takes you to the castle and old town square (costs about 25p each)., very good value for money overall even considering breakfast was basic but plentiful., would recommend this hotel to people who don't want to spend a fortune on the hotel, for those who want to be in the centre of town prices are alot more expensive.

a excellent place to stay for visiting prague, the metro station i.p pavlova is a 5 min walk (at most) which is also well served by about 8 tram routes so you have very easy access to all of , prague. our room (505) was extremely spacious, the bathroom was pretty big compared to some places as well. rooms were cleaned and tidied every day, towels every 3rd unless you put them out to be cleaned. , we did not eat in so we can not comment on the food., only possible criticism was that rather than a proper double bed is was two singles pushed together., would definitely stay there again and have recommended it to friends and family.

this hotel is not situated into the historic heart of the city, but lies behind museum, near the ip pavlova metro stop, and is thus well connected with the whole city, even though you're already in the suburbs. the welcoming was excellent (we got also offered free drinks); employees were very friendly (we got the room at 7am on the day of our arrival, i could pay my bill at 3am, in euros); the room was quiet and clean, with a kitchen corner and bathroom with shower and toilet, and got cleaned daily; for breakfast there was a large buffet. , this is my girlfriend's comment:, accoglienti, funzionali, comodi per trascorrere qualche giorno fuori, sia per i giovani che per le famiglie, allocati in posizioni da cui è facile raggiungere il centro, sia con i mezzi che a piedi, e nello stesso tempo non troppo centrali da subire il traffico ed i rumori delle vie centrali!

praga es una hermosa, interesante e intrigante ciudad a la que siempre es grato regresar, este hotel ha sido un premio adicional, excelente y atento personal, limpio, cómodo, tranquilo, bien ubicado con cercanas conexiones por metro y transporte de superficie, buena relación precio-calidad, lo recomiendo sinceramente, especialmente para parejas maduras, clase media, tranquilas, pero también para quienes quieran estar en un hotel sin problemas.
