la posizione è ottima, ci si muove comodamente a piedi e inoltre a pochi metri ci sono ristoranti, forni e salumerie. la colazione al mattino è più che abbondante: ci sono the, caffè, latte, succhi di frutta, cioccolato caldo, cereali, yougurt e marmellate di ogni tipo...insomma una vera delizia!!! i ragzzi sono gentilissimi e disponibili, la reception è sempre aperta. c'è un pò di rumore, ma ciò è dovuto solamente al fatto che si è in pieno centro. per chi viaggia in macchina: proprio sotto l'albergo c'è un garage. consigliato a tutti per un soggiorno più che piacevole!!!

es un hotelito sin grandes pretensiones que esta bastnte bien, en el centro de florencia a muy pocos minutos del duomo y de la estación. los recepcionistas son bastante amables y uno de ellos habla español. justo debajo del hotel hay un bar en el que se cena muy bien y a muy buen precio, ademas los camareros son muy amables., recomiendo este hotel para gente que lo que le importe es la ciudad y no las instalaciones, aunque son aceptables, todo muy limpio y habitaciones poco ruidosas

at first impressions the hotel toscana doesn't look so great but it is in a good area and at a great price in relation to everything else too. if you are looking for spacious rooms and quality of rooms then go elsewhere. the room and bed were small but clean. the breakfast was good too and the level of service provided by the staff too. they were always able to provide us with what we needed. overall the toscana is a good place to stay on a budget and is in a good area close to the historic centre too. if you are just looking for a place to sleep and have breakfast then this is a good option. the only down points are that it is very simple and the decor is modern but not so great.

l'hotel toscana è vicinissimo al centro di firenze: a piedi e in pochi minuti si raggiungono i luoghi di maggiore interesse ed è inoltre a due passi dalla stazione. ciò che ci ha maggiormente sorpreso comunque, è stata la colazione: abbontantissima e buonissima!!!!, l'unica cosa un pò negativa era la camera, composta da un letto ad una piazza e mezzo e da un piccolissimo bagno..., consiglio comunque questo albergo soprattutto ai giovani, senza eccessive pretese.

estuvimos dos noches en este hotel en una habitación de 4, y la verdad es que me sorprendió para lo barato que és, lo grande que era la habitación. había espacio para las camas y sobrara sitio para bailarse una jota tranquilamente. el baño también muy grande, los dos recepcionistas que conocimos muy majos, uno de ellos hablaba español muy bien, y el desayuno muy correcto. la localización también está genial. en serio, para lo barato que es, el hotel está muy bien, si algún dia vuelvo a florencia repito allí.

i would recommend staying at this hotel. the hotel is in a great location close to all the florence sights including walking distance from the train station. however if a person is planning on walking from the train station to the hotel, the person should do some research in regards to the location of the hotel from the train station. it is difficult to desribe in a sentence in how to get there, but in general, walk out of the train station, see a church that is near a small piazza. the hotel is a few blocks behind the church a little to the right. if you see an irish pub, you are getting close.

we stayed overnight in toscana in the beginning of november. this was a really great value for the price we paid. the breakfast was nice, very filling. the staff were friendly and always ready to help. our room was quite small (the double bed basically covered it all:) and a bit cold in the evening but it wasn't a problem for us since we were staying for 1 night only. overall, i think it's a great accommodation for a very low price!

our 4 days in florence would not have been the same if we hadn´t stayed at toscana., first of all, location is perfect. just a five-minute walk from the railway station (perfect for those who carry big luggage, which was our case), five minutes to the piazza della repubblica, and around ten to the duomo. its location is also perfect for those who wish to enjoy florence at night, with its romantic streets and piazzas, full of artists and musicians who give the city a magical and unique atmosphere., staff was extremely kind and helpful, always willing to answer our questions. arriving, we were told that there had been a problem with our reservation, and that we would have to stay at a smaller room. no problem at all, because in the end we have had a series of advantages: we payed less then expected (around 30% of discount, because of the problem), the room also had a bathroom and was also very good and very clean, we had a nice view to a typical street of florence, and as an apology we were given a delicious bottle of quality wine!, breakfast was also delicious, very complete, served in a neat room, with nice acrylic chairs!, if we have the chance to visit again this wonderful city, with whom we fell in love, we´ll surely stay at toscana again. i really didn´t expect this quality for a one-star hotel. congratulations, keep on, and thank you very much!

the hotel toscana is not only very well situated if you want to visit the major landmarks on foot (duomo, museums...), the place is really nice.the rooms are simple but clean. the staff is extremely nice and helpful, really i will recommend this place to anyone willing to visit florence on a low budget.

the people at hotel toscana were incredibly nice and helpful. the location could not be beat-- it was an easy walk both to the train station and to any of the sites. the breakfast room seemed a little small, but when we got up a little earlier there was plenty of room. the bathroom was on the small side, but worked out just fine. our actual room was quite large. the only problem that we encountered was that we were right behind reception, and late at night we could hear people ringing the bell to come in.

hotel muy céntrico y con buena relación calidad/precio. ideal para personas de reducida movilidad. el personal muy amable, la recepcionista amable, encantadora y guapa. habitaciones amplias, ascensor hasta recepción, el desayuno muy correcto y abundante. no hay grandes lujos, pero amplitud y limpieza mucha. el personal hace la estancia muy agradable.

i was in a quadruple room with a private bathroom, double room, and 2 individual beds, a table and a chair and a really big wardrobe., air conditioning. indoor room so quiet., excellent breakfast, a lot of variety (buffet), problem there is an elevator only for the first floor, where it is the reception and you have to go upstairs to the second floor but it's worthy, 5 minutes from the station and the cathedral, just in front of the santa maria novella church, you go through the square santa maria novella and it is the first street in the left.

the staff is very welcoming, helpful and friendly, rooms are very clean. the hotel is in a small quiet street only a few minutes from the city center. breakfast is very good, special compliment for the delicous cakes. we would stay there any time again!

the location is great, close to the train station and the center of town. the receptionist was very welcoming and accomodating. the room was a typical european hotel room. the bathroom was a little small, but it worked good. this site is a little misleading in that 2 rooms for 2 people means one person in each room. the property is on the second floor, so it was a little hard to find at first, but great once you get there. a continental breakfast is also included.

la entrada al edificio donde se encuentra el hotel tiene un aspecto desagradable. el hotel en sí es muy sencillo, recientemente reacondicionado y bien cuidado, aunque no presenta el ambiente moderno indicado en la web., tampoco existe el garage cercano a precio reducido indicado en la web. en esa zona de florencia el costo del estacionamiento es de 25 euros por día; el hotel ofrece a 24 euros por día en una garage ubicado a 15 minutos con servicio de valet parking., el hotel se desarrolla en dos plantas (1º y 2º piso) de un edificio antigüo y entre ambas plantas no hay ascensor por lo que hay que subir o bajar el equipaje por un buen tramo de escaleras.no lo dice la web. hay ascensor desde la planta baja al primer piso donde se encuentra la recepción., el desayuno es aceptable., la señorita que atiende la recepción durante el día es muy amable y servicial., creo que el hotel puede satisfacer a clientes jóvenes sin grandes exigencias.

the location was great, near all the sites of interest and near the train station. but the room that we had was very very small, the bathroom was also very small. it wasn't at all the same room that you see on the pictures on-line. it was also very noisy, you can hear when pleople are showing or flushing the toilet in other rooms. the breakfast was like in all other same-type hotels, average. the receptionists were very kind and eager to help.

the hotel is easy to find and close to all the places of interest. the staff consist of young people; they are multilingual, helpful and friendly. breakfast is average. , our room was spacious but the bathroom was very small with a not too comfortable shower. there was a lock box in the room - we got the key at the reception and they did charge us extra for that. , the worst thing was the noise - not from the streets but from the inside - we could hear our neighbours flushing and taking showers as well as people moving in the breakfast room., on the whole, not a bad choice for those who need just a room to sleep in, between wanderings around the city, and do not sleep too late.

it was very difficult to find the hotel with a vehicle, if we had arrived by train, we could have saved ouselves some anguish. our initial impression of the hotel was bizzare. via de sole is a tight, but busy alley off the piazza. the entrance from the alley was through two beautiful wood doors. it appeared that the building and hotel were in transition - the foyer was a scene of electrical wirng, dust, broken ceramic tiles, and peeling paint. we could not immediately locate the lobby and reception desk. there was a set off concrete stairs that were dimly lit. as we ascended the stairs, the first floor above grade provided a secure entrance to the lobby and hotel. , once inside, my family and i were delighted with the accomodations. claudia was especially helpful when my son took ill for one day. she truly showed a compasion for our situation and worked to make the stay a pleasant as possible. , i gave low marks to the public areas for the main entrance - under repair only. the dining room, lobby, and halls were clean, and spacious. , we would stay at this hotel again without remorse.

the rooms where big and very nice, the main receptionist spoke good english, the nite staff not soo good, but that wasnt normaly a problem! the breakfast was nice and out from about 7.30 until 11am, only ment to be till 10am. you could hear the odd scooter passing at night but this a problem the whole of florence has not just this hotel. very close to the main train/bus station and has a nice pub round the corner as well! would recommend!

la ubicación es excepcional, a unos pasos de la estación y de santa maría novella y muy cerca del duomo y todo lo demás a visitar. solo un pero tiene ascensor pero para cogerlo hay que subir un tramo de escaleras, el hotel está en el primer piso, pero después nuestra habitación estaba en un segundo piso y ahí no había ascensor. hizo muchos frio, los días que estuvimos en florencia y tuvimos que pedir una manta porque hacía frio en la habitación a pesar de los radiadores que tenía. de todas maneras no nos importaría repetir sitio

l'hotel toscana è ideale per chi vuole spendere poco e stare al centro di firenze. la struttura è piccolina ma accogliente, le camere pulite e spaziose (almeno la mia), la colazione a buffet è abbondante. il bagno era molto piccolo ma con tutto il necessario (doccia, bidet e asciugamani puliti). ideale per chi sta fuori tutto il giorno e torna in hotel solo x una doccia veloce e andare a dormire. lo consiglio soprattutto ai giovani. nel complesso il giudizio è più che buono!

the hotel is very good for a short vacation. it is located only five minutes away from the main station, and only a few minutes away from all the central tourist attraction.

il luogo in cui è situato l'albergo è certamente centrale e comodo per poter visitare firenze a piedi: a due passi da santa maria novella e a pochi minuti dalla zona duomo., il personale dell'albergo è molto gentile, le stanze sono un pò piccole ma confortevoli, pulite e riassettate ogni giorno. colazione ampia ed a buffet. , saremmo contenti di soggiornare nuovamente qui se in futuro torneremo a firenze!, the place where the hotel is situated, is very central and comfortable in order to visit florence walking: a few steps from santa maria novella church and a few mins away from santa maria del fiore dome. , reception was very kind with us, rooms are not so large, but well cleaned and made every day. we had a nice choice of food for our buffet breakfast. we would be really happy to stay here again if we'll come back to florence again!

la struttura è in pieno centro, quindi comoda per chi arriva dalla stazione e si sposta a firenze a piedi per visitare tutta la città., il personale è gentile, ovviamente si tratta di un hotel ad una stella per cui gli spazi delle stanze e comuni sono ridotti. forse andrebbe sistemato l'interno dell'hotel,un po' vecchio, tutto sommato pulito e non è cosa da poco. soggiorno tranquillo.

Òàê âîò, îòåëü âî Ôëîðåíöèè ìíå ïîíðàâèëñÿ áîëüøå âñåõ ýòèõ íàïûùåííûõ çâåçäî÷êàìè óðîäîâ. wir hatten das 1 1/2-bett-zimmer. es war sehr eng, keine aussicht, man hört die anderen hotelgäste auf der stiege gehen. aber das preis-leistungsverhältnis war ok. frühstück, nähe zur city super. und auch wir können das restaurant gegenüber nur empfehlen! alles in allem, für ein paar tage echt in ordnung!

the best thing about this hotel was the location, close to both the train station and to the shopping area/duomo. we got lucky because although we had requested a double with bath, we actually recieved a triple so our room was huge. we had no problem with noise however the room seemed just a little bit dirty. we slept through breakfast so i can't comment, sorry. for the price it was perfect. we would definitely stay here again.

for the most part the hotel was decent. however, the mattresses were old and warn in the middle. the center of the mattress sunk down about 5 inches below the rest of the bed. the concierge was also impolite when we returned too late in the evening.

i was very content with the hotel. booking hotels in italy through venere has been very good every time i have been to italy. i would never think of any other way of booking hotels in italy.

these rooms are small. for the room we had, the room's window as well as the bedroom window opened to a shaft going up the inside of the building. had to sit sideways on the toilet as sitting strait would have required putting my knees through the shower stall. , that said, had a great time and the property is convenient to both the train and to the major sites in the city.

la habitación cuadruple con lavabo propio donde estábamos era espaciosa. era completa (armario, escritorio...) la limpiaban cada día. el lavabo era estrecho pero completo (hasta tenía secador), y la ducha algo pequeña. el desayuño estaba muy bien (abundante y variado) y era self- service. la ubicación del hotel es perfecta: muy cerca de la estación de tren (se va andando) y al lado de st. mª novella, cerca del duomo... se va andando a todos los lugares de interés de florencia desde el hotel. la relación calidad - precio es muy buena.

the toscana was exactly what the website indicated. the room was small but clean, the staff was extremely friendly and accomodating and the breakfast room was quaint with a generous breakfast. it wasn't the ritz, but was terrific for the price. the location was excellent and i'll stay there again next year.

my room was really ugly. the photos of the room at venere have nothing to do with the reality of mine. it also states they have garage and they dont!they should make clear that that part of the city cannot be reache by car. when i called asking for help, after being fined by a policeman they answered they didnt have garage (a bit late!)

bel etablissement au coeur de florence, près de la gare, accueil et service excellent, le personnel est compétent et disponible , ils repondent à toutes nos demandes, les chambres sont quelquefosi petites mais nous ne sommes là que pour dormir

hotel bien situé pour visiter tous les sites du centre ville. personnel nombreux,disponible et aimable (portier de nuit particulièrement sympathique et parlant couramment français, ce qui aide bien !). la climatisation est coupée de minuit à 7 heures du matin ce qui paraît à priori dommage mais finalement nous n'avons pas été gênés par la chaleur nocturne. le petit déjeuner présente un très large choix et est à volonté ce qui permet de prendre des forces avant d'affronter une longue journée de découvertes. en résumé, un bon endroit où séjourner en centre ville. par contre impossible de garer sa voiture dans la rue ( la police est très vigilante ) et les parkings sont hors de prix. donc prévoir de se garer en dehors du centre ville et se déplacer en bus et à pied. j'ai trouvé les florentins calmes et agréables à vivre.

if you are looking for a hotel that personifies a typical italian hotel, with all of its quaint faults like you see on tv, then this is it. although, the rooms are small, the toilet in my room was situated so that i could use both it and the sink simultaneously, and the shower was a little bigger than the width of my shoulders, the atmosphere and people were very nice. the beds are comfortable, and the double pained windows help keep the noise from outside down to a minimum. this hotel is something to experience if you only intend to be in florence for one or two days, and are willing to endure some minor inconveniences. i would not recommend this hotel for a longer stay, or for someone who is not flexible or thin enough to squeeze past the sink in order to use the toilet or shower. the rooms, for the most part, appeared to be at least as clean as some other hotel i have stayed in. it was an experience staying at this hotel, and one that i will never forget. however, i do not think that i will stay there again, that is unless some of my travel partners would like to share in the same experience. this hotel is not for the faint of heart, and is definitely not for those who are not willing to step out of the box to experience something different, or take a chance. however, if you are this type of person, then i would say go for it! if you enjoy the experience and take it for what it is worth, then the little inconveniences will not matter.
