the freindly atmosphere made my stay, home from home
i was not aware that evening meals were nolonger available, but they were a week earlier. the tv in my room did not work

friendly wecoming staff
soap tray kept falling off in shower-dropped on foot and cut it.
bedstead not too comfortable when watching tv.
overall i enjoyed my stay and would book again.
the hotel would benefit from some re-decoration, looking a little tired.
good value for money.

the outstanding service by the staff, especially at breakfast.
no one offered to help carry the bags to or from the room.
the grange is a charming little b&b in cheltenham. the staff are really friendly and the rooms are generally spacious and clean and the bathrooms have been remodeled so that they are more contemporary. also, the location is excellent as it's only a 5-10 minute walk from the center of town. the service is good and after a long day out exploring the countryside you can put your feet up and settle in for the night in the downstairs bar.

excellent value for money.
reception area a little cramped.
a friendly welcome and friendly staff without being imposing.
a spacious bedroom and recently refitted spacious bathroom in a building of character.
a good full breakfast with plenty of choice and waiter/waitress service.

the friendliness and willingness of the staff.
late check in (2.00 p.m.)
i found the hotel was very good and the staff friendly. although the town centre and racecourse are only 1km away we found we still used taxis as it is still a good 20-25 minutes walk. if i visit cheltenham again, i think i would probably stay at the same hotel again. the decor was in need of updating and the room was rather hot and stuffy. the plumbing to the toilet needed attention to stop the loud vibrating noise when flushed.
this is an older style hotel which is about 10-15 minutes walk from nthe town centre. the room we were in was quite small but adequate but the decor of the room and the hotel in general and is rather old fashioned and in need of updating. the staff were very pleasant and helpful in general and the breakfasts were good. however after checking out they agreed to look after out bag but when we returned from town mid-afternoon we found the hotel all locked up and no one answering the door or telephoine numbers listed. eventually someone from an overflow hotel over the road came and let us in but we could easily have missed out train as a result.
