before booking i would have liked to have known that the hotel was a building site. it was most unpleasant to stay in a dust-filled environment and infuriating when the lifts didn't work as i was on the 11th. floor - this made me late for meetings and very late because of the wait i had while someone had to go up to the 11th. floor to bring my suitcases down. it was also annoying to see that there were many dangerous senarios for workmen and the public - i nearly accidently knocked a worker off a ladder after finding him on the other side of a door i opened.

the massive refurbishment makes running the hotel difficult and i sympathise with staff who were all cheery and helpful. old rooms like ours are well past their sell-by date with broken fittings. the built-in heating did not warm the room and the controls were broken, although staff quickly and efficiently provided additional heating while we were out having dinner. the refurbished parts of the hotel look attractive and it may be a good place to stay in the future (but probably more expensive than now!)

i feel the price of the room for one night was very expensive taking everything into account.

very good - the convenience of the shuttle bus from the train station and airport makes it a great choice for me.

on a more recent stay, as it was the only hotel available in the area, i had to take a smoking room although i had requested non-smoking.when you arrive late you do not want to start trying to find an alternative hotel.staff did there job but thats all, not polite at all.

defo stay there again when travelling over to watch man utd but will hope we have hot water and would prefair room in the back because front of hotel very noisey with traffic outside

was ok, given the circumstances and the fact that the shower was inches from the bed it was very overpriced. the location & general cleanliness & staff is all that really saved it.

although the room mentioned a menu, there was no indication of a restaurant in the hotel, nor were directions to the dining room for breakfast. pork products were not available at breakfast, so no bacon and sausages were beef, however this did not detract from an excellent breakfast. restaurants were a five to 10 minute walk away, which is not ideal for a lone female, although there were a lot of people around. the question of whether i would recommend this hotel would depend entirely on what you are looking for. reasonably priced and close to the university it is ideal if you are not looking for anything more than a basic room and a good breakfast.

looked good on outside but very run down. in need of a lot of decoration. not clear that on-suit not included.

friendly, great breakfast (real pepper!)helpful information on good places to eat out. very friendly helpful staff but no excessive fussing!

very good value for money and hotel was bright and modern and located in the area we required.reasonably placed for old trafford football ground- the reason for our visit.

the hotel and location are great. the staff are adequate. i would think of staying again, but look for a cheaper hotel first (with hot water).
