this is a farm type stay out in the country. it is famiily run. it is a bit difficult to find but, once you do, it is a good location for exploring the surrounding countryside. we have never stayed in a farm-type place. the room was spacious with a kitchen but plain. all facilities were clean. we enjoyed speaking with the owner. we recommend staying here.

we were three couples on motorcycles, they gave us three spacious adjoining rooms.
dinner was a set menu and very good too as were the wines

l'.holiday residence è davvero un'.oasi di tranquillità:in aperta campagna,curato ma non sfarzoso,permette di riposare e tornare dalle vacanze rigenerati.
la sua posizione è l'.ideale per muoversi ogni giorno,alla scoperta delle bellezze naturali,dei monumenti e delle altre mille cose belle che la puglia offre ai turisti:in particolare partendo da qui si può arrivare in pochi minuti ad alberobello(la capitale dei trulli),alle bellissime grotte di castellana,a castel del monte,allo zoo-safari di fasano,e con uguale facilità raggiungere la costa adriatica a sud di bari(polignano a mare,capitolo,torre canne).
con pochi km in più si raggiunge anche il mar jonio(marina di ginosa)oppure si può andare,come abbiamo fatto noi,ai sassi di matera (da non perdere!!!)
insomma,è un luogo ideale per visitare gran parte della puglia in relax...ma la ciliegina sulla torta è l'.accoglienza squisita(e mai invadente!)che riservano ai loro ospiti il sig.michele e la sua famiglia:sempre gentili e disponibili,fanno di tutto per mettere le persone a proprio agio,e per dare più informazioni possibili sulle cose che si possono vedere in puglia-si può arrivare senza una guida,una cartina o neanche un'.idea di cosa fare...e grazie ai loro consigli si potranno realizzare tanti itinerari assai interessanti-
di sicuro quando torneremo in puglia non cercheremo altro posto in cui alloggiare,perchè io,mia moglie e la mia bimba di 3 anni ci siamo trovati meravigliosamente bene!!!

e'. il secondo anno consecutivo che frequento la struttura per la sua conformazione la consiglierei a giovani come base x una vacanza in puglia, a famiglie con bambini e a persone non piu giovani in cerca di riposo e tranquillita. i titolari sono sempre molto disponibili a farvi sentire a vostro agio proprio come essere in famiglia.

e' un ottimo residence gestito perfettamente in maniera familiare. cucina squisita gestita dalla signora ... da leccarsi i baffi !!!

my granddaughters loved the owner. they gave up going into town for pizza in order to eat at his table. i think their love was returned by the owner. we trusted the family to allow the children to go to the playground alone.

la famiglia lucente e' stata molto accogliente ed ospitale. il posto e' splendido...si mangia divinamente ed il punto in cui si trova l'hotel permette di rilassarsi e di godersi giorni sereni. lo consiglio vivamente.

the owner was a great guy, he realy went out of his way to help us. the price was really good and the home cooked food was tremendous.

sono stato felice di aver scoperto questa struttura eccezzionale in tutto, in particolar modo all'accoglienza del titolare e della sua famiglia, per chi è lontano da casa per lavoro, come me, fà piacere sentirsi come a casa propia. ringrazio per tutto e ritornerò presto in quella struttura, di meglio nn potevo trovare!!!!

we loved hotel holiday residence! we arrived with one additional guest than we stated in our reservation and there was no problem accomodating us in a rather enjoyable "suite". lucente made marvelous suggestions of what to do and where to go, including a map of the area. hotel holiday residence was perfect for the relaxing weekend adventure we planned to southeastern italy. we would return in a heartbeat if we are in the area again. it would be fabulous in the summer for a family with children, especially small children, with the grounds and facilities.

e' un'oasi di tranquillità. aria buona, ottimo cibo, e trattamento cordiale e familiare.

ambiance familiale, excellent accueil, bons conseils sur les visites à faire, repas de ferme traditionnels. les chambres sont de véritables appartemments, dans d'anciens bâtiments de ferme en forme de trulli. au milieu des vergers, voiture indispensable.

it's location was out in the country surrounded by vinyards and farm lands. very quite and peaceful. a nice change from staying in the cities. a touch of old italy with nice reasonable accommodations. we traveled with three other adults and two very young children.
i would go back for sure.

very nice indeed. ideal if you're looking for a family atmosphere, quiet country life, simple amenities. you get what you pay for. the manager will give you maps and useful information about how to get where you want to be for sightseeing. he does not pry, and the tips he gives really do save you time when you get there. it's quite a drive from the coast and from bari, and it really is only accessible by car. for a longer stay, you can use the kitchenette facilities, but the breakfast in the hotel is so cheap, substantial and good, that i wouldn't use this myself - not even with children. find the auchan supermarket fairly near the beginning of your stay - you'll get everything there. it's open from 9 am to 9 pm. for smaller shops the opening times are otherwise rather difficult.

what a wonderful stay we had! michele and his family took excellent care of us. the grounds and surrounding area were like a dream. the food was excellent and they accommodated our every need. we look forward to our next stay at hotel holiday resident (casamassima) on our next trip. we wouldn't think of staying any where else.

when we arrived at holiday residence our host, the genial michele, promised us, amongst other things, that his wife would show us some of her wonderful home-cooked recipes. in the event, we actually took away with us just two recipes. the first was for luisa’s mouth-watering smoked salmon spaghetti sauce, by far the tastiest thing i experienced in the whole of our three-week italian sojourn. the second recipe, however, was easily the more memorable and although it had no name i christened it “vacanza alla famiglia lucente”.
