it was a great hotel. it is centrally located to the colisseum and not far from the trevi fountain. it is a quiet street but accessible to good shopping on via nazionale street. we were able to walk to most of the locations.
the hotel is very clean and the service is very good. it is family owned, their english is limited but they are still very helpful. we received maps, they will call reasonable taxis, and they gave us great suggestions for restaurants. they are very accomdating. i would defintely stay again. also, the breakfast on the rooftop was a nice addition.

hotel apollo was great! the staff was very friendly, most of them spoke english, they were very helpful with info about buses, taxis, attractions, etc. there is a room offering internet access. breakfast was good - lots of fruit, cereal, rolls, juices, cold cuts, cheeses, american coffee (they will happily make capacino or espresso). no bacon/eggs but we'.re not in the usa! our room was fine, with tv, safe, refrig. the maids made it up daily. bathroom was huge - small shower but par for europe. location was ideal - you can see the colesseum from the hotel (maybe 6 blocks away). it'.s an easy stroll to trevi, a little farther to spanish steps, parthenon, piazza narvona, etc. easy bus connection to the vatican. several restaurants within 1-2 blocks - also great gelato store. the price was as advertised which was very reasonable for rome. we would definitely stay here again.

the hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. the location is excellent,very close to the colosseum, forum and a bus line close-by to take you to the vatican and other locations. restaurants were a block or two away with goood prices and good food. i definately would recommend this hotel to others.

my husband and i stayed at hotel apollo for three nights and enjoyed our stay very much. our room was small, but clean and quiet. the staff really made you feel at home and the breakfast on the roof terrace was excellent.

this was our first time to rome with a 4 night stay at the apollo. we really enjoyed our stay. the staff was very friendly and helped with our questions in every way. we thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast and the wonderful capaccinos every morning! the location was very handy and very close to the sights. we appreciate the assistance with sedan service for our return flight home. i would highly recommend the hotel and hopefully we will be back soon! thank you!!

i found this hotel to be just as it was pictured in the review. rooms spacious, bathroom quite large, hot shower. breakfast was good, with warm pastries and rolls, cereals, yogurt, and an assortment of juices. enjoyed our breakfast on the terrace. wish the terrace was open later in the evening for drinks.

we stayed in a double room on the first three nights of our honeymoon. the staff was warm and friendly. the breakfast offerings were fresh and more than adequate. and the hotel is close to everything we wanted to see. we would definitely stay here again!

great hotel in an excellent location. we walked to many of the site in rome from the hotel. reception staff wonderful, very helpful.
breakfast on the roof terrace was great.

the only negative aspect was the rubbish collection early in the morning. would ask for a room in the rear next time we used hotel.

very clean. very helpful. someone who could speak english was always available. very close to many of the major tourist sites in rome. nice eating area with good food for breakfast.

the location was very good. breakfast excellent. the shower door in our first room did not fit so floor got rather wet! the shower in the room we had on our return to rome was very small but adequate if one was not a large person which neither my husban or i are! staff were very helpful. overall the hotel was good considering the price and quality of rome hotels.

this was our first trip to rome, and the apollo made it a great experience. we had a big room with a large bathroom and bed facing the street (not loud) we would recommend the apollo to any person(s) visiting rome. good room rates (for rome)

a small hotel with immaculate accommodations. our room was small, but it was beautifully appointed and had a large bathroom. lovely rooftop garden, with an adequate continental breakfast.

a very nice hotel, in a terrific location, with a helpful staff. the rooms are not luxurious, but perfectly fine, and breakfast on the terrace was very nice. we would definitely stay there again.

we went on a 5 day family holiday. still not enough time to see everything so we will be back.hotel in very central location so will stay there again.

our overall experience at the apollo was very positive. staff were very helpful, and ready to answer any questions we had. they offered help to arrange tours, and they contacted a driver with a large van to drive us to the airport, at a reasonable price. we had a suite for 4 people, which was pretty large and comfortable, and had its own terrace. the air conditioner worked perfectly. another couple that travelled with us had the suite for 2, which was also nice but their bathroom was very small. breakfast was ok, the setting in the terrace was nice, and staff were welcoming and courteous.

very welcoming, after a train ride from napoli we were quickly shown our room and began exploring rome again. an easy walk to the trevi fountain, il rotondo, and piazza navona and a view of the colosseo from our room as well! on our same street were two restaurants with good food and wine and reasonable prices. would stay here again without any hesitation. the hotel staff was excellent and the room was large and clean with a big bathroom. grazie apollo!
