aaaah. what a wonderful, clean, quiet and utterly friendly hotel. the staff was so friendly, that it felt you had become part of their family. fluent in english, hospitable, and good knowledge.the location is very good, close to ephesus (ancient city) and other must see places, like saint john, a castle, a museum and parks. my single bed room was very spacious, in light pastel colours, which immediately calmed and soothed nerves. a large mirror over a dresser, curtains, sound proof windows and a cupboard. ideal size for a single traveler. the bathroom had good dimensions, with plenty of hot water and very clean. the lounge area downstairs was big, lots of comfortable sofas, and a television set, which had programs in many languages. there was a large backgammon board (a must in turkey). you could play with other guests, and even the hosts. they even had a small library, with books in english, french, and turkish. there was a large open air dining area outside, where you were served a turkish breakfast. there was a nice waterfall on the side, and lots of cultural ambience. inside, there was a comfortable ground sitting area, with cushions, where you could get away from the world and sit with a book with natural air and sunlight coming in. the staff was very willing to provide information on where to go, and would recommend carriers for transportation. there were shops in the vicinity, and most of the people were very friendly. there was laundry and internet service provided. no one bothered you, no one asked unnecessary questions. combined with all the factors, my stay at artemis hotel was absolutely fantastic, and made my journey pleasurable. the hotel is well patronized. during my stay, there were paratroopers from syria and russia, saudis, some french speaking people, business people from germany, and turks as well. i would recommend this hotel again and again. if i ever chose to return to turkey for a visit, it would be because of artemis hotel.
