hotel conforme à toutes les évaluations positives que l'on peut lire ici et là: idéalement situé pour effectuer une visite approfondie de florence sans avoir une seule fois à prendre le bus; sur demande par mail, francesco, charmant directeur, nous avait réservé une chambre tranquille sur l'arrière... les petits déjeuners sont tout à fait acceptables dans cette catégorie: fruits frais, yaourts, viennoiseries du jour , machines à expresso...cet hotel aura contribué à nous faire passer le nouvel an dans des conditions agréables. jean -françois, de brest

hôtel très bien situé, 5 minutes de la gare, du duomo, du marché. et en 10 minutes de marche, vous serez au ponte vecchio et à la galerie des offices (réservation obligatoire d'.ailleurs pour éviter 3 heures d'.attente!)
petit hôtel très sympa, accueil charmant, les chambres sont très correctes et calmes car elles donnent sur une petite terrasse qui surplombe une petite rue peu fréquentée. le seul bémol est le petit déjeuner banal comme on en a dans tous les hôtels 2 étoiles d'.europe, rien de typiquement italien, mais je conseillerais cet hôtel pour son emplacement qui permet d'.être en plein centre et de passer faire une pause très facilement.
for our english speaking friends, a brief summary : very nice hotel, warm welcome, excellent location in the city centre, five to ten minute walk to every major location. clean and quiet room, not huge but all right since you'.re in firenze to visit, right ? only slight disappointment is breakfast which is quite ordinary, but there are so many nice restaurants where you can have excellent pasta!

hotel balcony is ideally located, within minutes of the duomo (visible from the hotel balcony), the uffizi and most of the city centre sights. francesco was very helpful, with excellent english. we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely use this hotel again.

as expected, florence was a beautiful place to visit and staying at hotel balcony made it even more enjoyable and memorable. balcony is a relatively small hotel with a warm, friendly and helpful owner who made every effort to ensure our stay was comfortable. balcony offers a good breakfast, nice rooms and clean bathrooms. it is located close to the center of the city. but what you will remember the most and best of all after an exhausting day walking visiting the beautiful city of florence, is the owner francesco who will hospitably wait for you as if you are his family house guest. we will be back to balcony!

acogedor hotel. trato del personal estupendo

i stayed for 1 night here on a flying visit of florence and wanted something central, near the station and cheap. 3 out of 3!! was greeted by an extremely friendly man who runs the hotel and speaks perfect english. he was nothing but helpful. the room was a single room and therefore small, but still contained a double bed. it had satellite tv, something i didn'.t expect. it was very clean, as was the bathroom though there was a musty smell in there. the breakfast is served in the little cafe downstairs in winter and is, ahem, nothing exceptional but i came to realise, it'.s the norm. croissants, bread rolls, coffee, fruit etc.the balcony outside is a lovely area to watch the world go by and offered me my first glimpse of the duomo - gorgeous. my room looked out into a tiny courtyard - nothing to see at all but equally, no traffic noise. all in all, it was 75euros and i don'.t think that'.s bad at all for it'.s location. it'.s 10mins walk maximum from the duomo, 2 mins from the station, there are all high street stores along the same road and numerous resturants and bars nearby too. ideal really. had a lovely stay.

an excellent basic hotel, conveniently located. the room was comfortable, although the bed was a little too soft. the only slightly negative aspect was the breakfast, whose croissants left a lot to be desired, while the ingenious juice/tea/coffee machine left the hot water for tea with a tang of coffee even after two or three successive hot waters. suggest they invest in a kettle for those who want tea!

francesco, the owner of the hotel was a great guy and helped us out with anything we asked for. our room was small but i found it to be comparable in size to other hotels we ve stayed at in europe for the price. it was just what we expected from past experience. the only complaint i would have is the water pressure in the shower would decrease as you turned up the hot water. the good thing was the water did get hot. the location was wonderful and the balcony was a fun place to take a break during the day or to end your night with a nice bottle of wine. we had room 120 which had the patio right outside the window and a good view of the dome on the dumo. room 110 would be my next choice. the breakfast was simple but we didn'.t want much. the restaurant next door was very nice except it didn t have a place to sit outside. i would really recommend it though. i would definitely stay in this hotel again.

the staff in the hotel were lovely and couldn'.t be more accomodating. we had the room next to the balcony and it was very noisy not, people but the traffic going past. location is ideal and a short stroll from the centre. breakfast is not the best but then again probably standard for italy. overall i would defo go back there again for the location and the helpfullness of the staff.

the owner is always ready to make your stay pleasant. nice breakfast with quite enough choices. great location.
