we enjoyed our stay here - second time for us. great location, a short walk from the centre of town, and quite possible to wheel suitcases from the station. rooms are huge and tasteful with shower and washbasin. heating very comfortable. only down side is no wc in room, but staying in november we had no problem with queues. long flight of stairs could put some travellers off. breakfast nothing special but perfectly adequate. great gelateria within 2 minutes walk. for the price? it'.s brilliant!

this hotel is in an amazing location. it'.s literally less than a five minute walk from the duomo! compared to other hotels i stayed in, my room was spacious. the shared bathrooms were never problematic and were always clean. the location and price were the best parts of this hotel. the continental breakfast was better than at most other hotels. the only drawback to the rooms is that there is not a phone in them and the phone at the front desk is only available for local calls, so you must use payphones to call home.

we were a couple travelling with two children aged 14 and 10 yrs. we walked from the train station without too much difficulty. signage outside and once you enter the courtyard could be a little better. there are quite a lot of stairs to carry bags up but the hotel is well worth the effort and we would hate to see the building damaged by lift installation. our quad room was huge and beatiful with a nice bathroom. it was a double bed with two singles which was nice for our kids who were a bit sick of sharing a double bed as was often the case with quad rooms.
the whole hotel was very clean and quiet. the location was excellent. we only had a short time and were able to walk to everything we wanted to see.
we loved this beautiful hotel and would definitely stay there again.

fit clientele only... the four flights of stairs are a bit of a challenge with bags. the welcome was extremely warm and helpful. due to a mix up with our timing (my fault),the concierge was very helpful in finding us another room for the night. the frescos in our room were amazing. couldn'.t recommend this hotel more highly. location was great, staff were helpful, room was extremely spacious.

hotel felt more like a hostel, akward to get up to the lobby, room was very old. the location was good, but the price seemed high nonetheless.
