we were very satisfied, for the venecian prizes a very good bargain. allan an laura are very nice an helpful. we enjoyed the breakfast, was better than in some 3star-hotels in italy.
the b&.b is not easy to find, at the moment there are no signs on the house, you have to look for the number and an the door clock for ".allen &.laura".

allen and laura could not have made our visit more pleasant. i loved having breakfast served in our room. they tried to answer all of our questions and we had many. a very pleasant stay.

don t even think about , it is one of the worst hotels i have ever been .
this b&b is small, dirty , noisy and difficult to find . to start with is just a flat in a block of other seven . it s in a small back street and when you arrive to the number indicate in our booking there s not any sigh saying that there s a hotel there so we where very confuse at the end we have to call the hotel to find out that was one of the flats in that block.
the b&b have only three rooms. we were amazed by the "eclectic" of the room. a mismatch of 60 s wall draw, a reproduction chest of draws infested with woodworm , a dirty 70 s sofa chair, a couple of very worn-out side table and some garden chair and table, which made the room look dark and overcrowded, all that complemented with a horrible smell to cigarette smoke and old furniture.
there is only one bathroom/toilet which in the morning and evenings get very busy , so not good if you are in a hurry to going out, or you are in a hurry to get into the loo, in occasions we have to wait more than one hour to get the chance to use it. it has a toilet, a sink and a very small mouldy shower, in fact the shower id so small the a large person would not fit in it.
towels are provided but bring your own ones as the are very small and they don t change them.
the bathroom is next to the rooms which can is a problem as you will wake up with the noise of people flashing the loo or having a shower.
the room where we stayed was not particularly clean. we found rest of the previous inhabitants of the room in the bed and in the furniture.
you have to leave the room by 9:30 am which is one of the earlier times i ever have to leave.
all this is a pity as the owners are very friendly and the place has potential if they were bother to change a few things. but certainly not recommended at all.

my friend and i had a lovely stay at this b&.b in venice. reasonably priced, large (twin bed) room, close (10+ minute walk) to the famous landmarks and clean! the owners were very nice and helpful, directing us where to find the boat to the airport and holding our luggage after we checked out to sightsee for the day.
we were able to find the place without too much trouble - using the directions and a rough map. we walked from the main train station, which was fine with large backpacks, but might be rough with a lot of wheeled luggage. there is a water boat stop nearby also.
would recommend!

we were here two nights, very comfortable. loved having breakfast in the room. great value, especially for venice.

the owners were very friendly and helpful. we got a bit bored with the breakfast, all sweet things and carbs, but other guests told us they had requested some protein and yogurt, so we did too and the owners were glad to oblige. we had the largest of the three rooms, which was very spacious. the shared bathroom sometimes got a bit damp from the shower, which was small and not recommended for larger-sized people. we really enjoyed staying here. the location was great.

the room (3) was clean, tidy and comfortable. the shared bathroom was small and the shower was very small. allan and laura were friendly and helpful. as mentioned in other comments, make sure you know how to find the place before you leave home as the locals have no idea where it is.

considering cost of accomodation in venice the san paolo was good value for money.friendly and very helpful owners.quiet location but not far from grand canal

lo mejor del b&.b paolo es su ubicación, a 10 minutos de la plz san marcos. puente de rialto y a 5 min. del vaporetto al aeropuerto. los propietarios, laura y allan, son una pareja joven dispuesta a atender a sus clientes. aunque no mantuvimos apenas relación pues llegamos el viernes por la tarde y partimos el sábado a las 07:30 a.m., se mostraron muy atentos y tuvieron la amabilidad de indicarnos los horarios del vaporetto que debíamos tomar al día siguiente. otro detalle fué que les pedí por internet que, si era posible, colocaran 2 camas individuales en lugar de la de matrimonio pues por las fotos me pareció pequeña. así lo hicieron pero nos prepararon la habitación pequeña y camas de 0,80 o sea que no fué una gran idea. lo peor: el tamaño de nuestra habitación y que habiendo una mejor libre cuando llegamos no nos cambiaron. el cuarto de baño que es compartido para las 3 habitaciones y había que hacer cola para utilizarlo. y el desayuno, muy sencillo y con bollería industrial. no obstánte, teniendo en cuenta el precio, estos inconvenientes se aceptan como mal menor ya que las fotos del interior se ajustan a la realidad y no te llevas grandes sorpresas. otra cosa a tener en cuenta es que cobran en efectivo. resumiendo: es un b&.b sencillo. limpio. regentado por personas amables. en una calle no bulliciosa bien comunicada. y barato ¿qué más se puede pedir para disfrutar de venecia una noche?.

liebevoll eingerichtete zimmer, sehr freundliche und hilfsbereite betreiber. ein guter, zentraler und doch ruhiger ausgangspunkt, um venedig zu erkunden. wir waren lediglich überrascht, dass wir kein eigenes badezimmer hatten.
wir wünschen laura und allan weiterhin viel erfolg und kommen gerne wieder.

nice young couple running the place, very helpful. nice welcome (wine, chocolate , water). small, narrow room 2, bed not too comfy but ok. place difficult to find, you need to remember the name of the couple, there is no hint to the name paolo b&.b and nobody around knows this place. couple of little restaurants nearby, quite centrally located.

pas le grand luxe, mais la gentillesse et les fou-rires de laura compensent. grande serviabilité à nos petites demandes. laura, gardez votre joie de vivre.
