the accomodation was of an excellent standard. i was upgraded to the bridal suite...! location was very attractive with pleasant country views. i felt that the personal touch was there which is the reason i choose smaller family hotels were possible. the food was exceptional value for money and far more than i could eat. if i was being picky i would have to say that the steak i ordered was not cooked to my requested taste but the rest of the food was so good it would have been churlish to criticise. i counted 10 different veg that were provided !!

difficult to locate but well worth the effort, very peaceful location, plenty of wildlife, very clean and excellent food. will stay here again.

good overall experience, i will visit again

the overall stay was very pleasant with very thoughtful and accomadating staff.
minor criticisms would be:-
1) we arrived when it was raining quite heavily and keen to get inside from the car park quickly and clear signage for reception/entrance was not apparent.
2)when enjoying an aperitif in the bar area we were quickly surrounded with a coach party arriving for an evening funtion and we felt to be in their way as they tried to find somewhere to put their coats and also to sit.

this was a real find for us. the quality of this small hotel was very high, and represented excellent value for money

a very quiet restful location but very handy for the a37. we would have loved to stay for longer and probably will do so again in the future. excellent.

if you require a relaxing break with no worries about the accommodation, the performance of the management and staff or the food then this is the place to stay

this hotel is a real gem. tucked away in rural tranquility but within easy reach of bristol. the environment is delightful, the staff friendly and attentive. i did not sample dinner, but if the quality of the light supper and the breakfast are any indication, i will not forego the pleasure the next time i stay here.
