i can'.t say enough good things about this hotel. considering the price (not too expensive) i wasn'.t expecting too much but found the standard of rooms and facilities to be excellent. it couldn'.t be cleaner and the apartment was perfect for two, the kitchen was also much better than expected. the pool area is also very nice. it is away from the main tourist-y area of albufeira, which i was glad about. i would recommend hiring a car when staying here. there is a supermarket just up the road (tourist prices) and a nice square with a few restaurants and shops.

we are cyclists. we cycled from lisbon to faro and stayed at the stella maris 4 nights. we had a wonderful time there and found all the staff so helpful. we will hopefully be going back,

i absolutely loved this hotel, the best i have ever stayed at. me and three friends stayed for a week and i would definately recommend it. the hotel staff organised a transfer for us from faro airport to the hotel and as soon as we reached the hotel there was no disappointment. the staff were very friendly and welcoming &. did all they could to make sure we enjoyed our stay. the cleaners came everyday to clean the rooms but did not have to if you didn'.t want them to. the beach is literally a 5-7mins walk away, there are resturants are mere 2mins walk away &. so is the local supermarket. the hotel restuarant food and staff was really good &. the pools were very nice. the hotel arranged a taxi service every night we went to the strip (the local hot spot for bars, clubs and restuarants) which cost less than 10euros. the whole experience was brilliant. whether you are a couple, a family or just a group of friends, all ages will enjoy, i certainly did.
