persetta posizione, pulito e personale gentilissimo e professionale. stanze con arredo nuovo e sempre pulite. bagno spazioso e pulito. colazione abbondante. nonostante si trovi su strada ad altro traffico non si sente nessun rumore., ha reso la vacanza ancora piu' gradevole e rilassante

posizione strategica di fronte alla stazione e alle fermate degli autobus, praticamente a 10 minuti a piedi dalla piazza principale di bologna (piazza maggiore), nel complesso molto bello e pulito come hotel sicuramente meritate le 4 stelle.
unica nota negativa il parcheggio nel garage che seppur comodissimo, troppo costoso (20 euro a notte...). e parcheggi liberi nelle vicinanze non ce ne sono.

there was no restaurant facility due to 'temporary closure' but excellent breakfast facilities were offered and a limited bar-based menu at other times. this was the major short-coming of the bologna hotel. closeness to the railway station was a big plus!

nous avons trouvé cet hôtel très bien et c'est avec, plaisir que nous y retournerions. nous avons précisé, vouloir une chambre calme lors de notre réservation, et avons été très satisfaits de celle obtenue. pour dire , que cet hôtel se trouve en face de la gare, une fois à , l'intérieur, ce n'est pas l'impression que vous avez., a recommander vivement.

, we were incredibly lucky to get a large room with a pants press(!) for an incredible price. the hotel is righ across the train station (don'.t let that deter you), so it is great and easy for those travelling by train or for day trips to modena, parma or florence. it is also located a nice 15 minute walk from the historical centre and great shopping. the front desk staff, although young are incredible competent, professional and helpful (they speak english). bologna is a must if only for the great food (there were no organised tours offered by the city visitors bureau)! this hotel was the best we stayed at in italy, we were dissapointed to move on after 2 nights. it has a good breakfast offering scrambled eggs, bacon, cereal and variety of danish.,

, we were extremely happy with this hotel, it was superior to many of the hotels we had stayed in italy. our only complaint was that we had only booked in for 1 night. next time we would most definitely spend at least 3 or 4 nights there. the hotel front desk also recommended an excellent restaurant for the night and his recommendation was first class.,

, nous cherchions un hôtel à proximité de la gare de bologne! nous ne pouvions pas être plus près!, avec sa parfaite insonorisation, nous avons bénéficié d'un calme inattendu!, le petit-déjeuner était très copieux et "zen"!, un hôtel à conseiller vivement! la navette pour l'aéroport est de l'autre côté de la rue et tout est très simple!25mn de trajet (pour cause de travaux!), une organisation très facilitée. parfait!,

, our stay at the hotel was really memorable. we were very happy with the room cleanliness and size. it was really value for money. the food also was really good. all in all the stay was excellent., we stayed for 2 nights and we found the hotel to be the ideal place to stay as it was very close to the station, and also not far from the main square. i would really recommend this hotel to others for staying whenever they visit bologna.,

ottimo hotel sopratutto per il rapporto qualità prezzo offerti durante il week-end., la mia stanza singola era una suite molto grande e comoda., nota molto negativa: il breakfast mattutino era assolutamente inadeguato per il tipo di hotel,ho dovuto richiedere ripetutamente che venissero approvvigionati cibo e bevande che una volta terminati,non venivano riportati e come me anche altri clienti si sono lamentati di questo mancato servizio. inoltre per accedere alla sala "breakfast" bisognava mettersi in fila ed attendere che la sala si svuotasse. assolutamente inadeguato sotto questo aspetto.

siamo stati a bologna per il capodanno. tutto è andato alla perfezione tranne la colazione del 1° gennaio, servita, si fa per dire, in maniera pessima. le colazione e il ristorante sono gestiti da una società terza, anche quelli di starshotel non sapevano più che fare. ci hanno fatto aspettare in piedi 30 minuti e senza cibo!

apparte un piccolo problema con la colazione le 1/1/2007 che alle 11:20 non c'erano più croistant e ho dovuto chiedere uan cioccolata ben 3 volte (c'è da dire che purtroppo la gente è arrivata quasi tutta vero le 11:30 e quindi pr avendo una capienza di 80 poste per la colazione non sono riusciti a gestirlo) c'è da dire che purtroppo si affidano ad una società esterna. per quando riguardo il bar il farista non ricordo se di nome fracesco o federico (comunque con pizzetto è rasato) devo dire tanto di capello professionale e disponibile mentre il collega poca voglia di lavorare comunque sono 5 e più anni che vado sempre in questo albero poichè il servizio in genere è ottimo e appunto per capodanno la colazione la fanno dalle 9 alle 12 (normalmente dalle 7 alle 10) comunque come pulizia sempre ottima e anche il personale delle pulizie efficente e molto gentile. lo consiglio vivamente.

one of the better hotels i've stayed in, anywhere/anytime. gave me an upgrade without a request, and room outstanding. bologna is an easy walking city, and hotel is directly across from train station, but close to everything else also. it's a business-oriented hotel, but that just added interest. fine breakfast, including hot items.

this is an excellent hotel. it is the best value i have seen in italy. the service and welcome were impecable. the room was outstanding in size, cleanliness and facilities provided. everything was to the highest standard. breakfast was the best we have experienced in europe. the clientelle were mostly business so the hotel was quiet and orderly. the hotel is situated right at the train station which is so convenient, (although train stations do attract undesrables hanging around). i would recommend this hotel for a base for any visit to tuscany/florence. highly recommended

if this hotel were not located directly across the street from the train station, i think the price would dramatically go up., the double room was clean and updated. the breakfast buffet was very good. yes, there is a coffee machine that disperses cappacino and coffee, but you may also ask for a fresh cup of any kind also. , we were able to use the high speed internet in the business center with no charges., the staff were kind and professional., we liked the fact the hotel was by the station, as we were leaving early the next morning to take the train to venice. however if you are staying for any length of time, you may prefer something down town. it is not for families with kids, as there's nothing for them to do near the hotel.

the hotel was for us an excellent location since we depended on public transport for visiting surrounding towns. also the aerobus brings you right from the airport to the station in front of the hotel. our rooms overlooked a garden at the back of the hotel which assured perfect quietness. from the hotel it's a comfortable walk into the centre of town only a few minutes away. this was my first visit to bologna and i've enjoyed it very much and i was pleased to find out that in august there were hardly any tourists, all very relaxing. i am dutch and i've seen more people riding bikes in mantova and ferrara than in holland, just incredible!

the hotel is directly across from the train station. we paid 30 euro and had a drive take us to the airport early the next morning. they staff was very friendly. unfortunately, the only complaint we had was that the room had previously been used by smokers and smelled like cigarette smoke.

the excelsior is in a fantastic location - right next to the main train station and within a very short walk of all the attractions of bologna. the staff spoke extremely good english and were very welcoming and helpful during our stay., the room was very clean, smart and even had a mini television in the bathroom. there was also a safe for valuables within the room. the breakfast, included in the room rate, was superb - a very large spread of cold and hot breakfast items., we ate at a fantastic restaurant called fantoni on via del pratello. the menu was completely in italian so we just picked a few things at random - each item was fantastic and the house red wine was superb. the food and wine was extremely good value - a great 2 course meal with wine for 2 was around €50, if we returned to bologna, we would definitely stay here again

das hotel ist ideal für bahnreisende zu fuß zu erreichen, auch zur altstadt ist es zu fuß nicht zu weit. sehr angenehm: das zimmer, welches zum garten ging, ist wirklich absolut ruhig. weniger gut: das fenster lässt sich nicht öffnen, die lüftung schaltet sich daher zeitweise ein und macht ein geräusch und einen unangenehm kalten luftzug. zimmer sehr sauber, aber deutliche abnutzungsspuren wie wasserflecken an der decke, verfärbter duschvorhang, obwohl erst kürzlich renoviert. super: man kann sich im zimmer einen tee kochen, wasserkocher ist vorhanden. weniger kundenfreundlich: obwohl per internet alle angaben bereits gemacht, mussten sie vor ort nochmal wiederholt werden (z.b. nichraucherzimmer, oberes stockwerk). frühstücksbuffet auch für deutsche anforderungen im prinzip sehr reichlich, aber nicht optimal organisiert: teilweise lange schlangen vor dem einzigen kaffee-automaten. zeitweise zu wenig plätze fürs frühstück, das personal kam nicht nach mit dem aufräumen und lief hektisch hin und her. zeitweise fehlten kaffeetassen, schälchen für das angebotene müsli und quark waren nicht vorhanden. preis-leistungsverhältnis trotzdem sehr gut und hotel sehr zu empfehlen!

siamo una coppia di giovani. l'albergo è davvero molto bello e moderno (inoltre è stato da poco restaurato e si vede!!!), e i servizi offerti sono otimi. la camera era pulita con cura ogni giorno, la colazione era abbondante e sempre rifornita, e i restanti servizi offerti (scelta dei cuscini, pay tv, palestra, thè e cioccolato da fare in camera a qualsiasi ora, silenziosità e disponibilità della reception e dello staff) ci hanno davvero coccolati. lo consigliamo vivamente!!giudizio : ottimo!!!, p.s. ci ha sorpresi trovare la tv in bagno!!!fantastico!!

the location of the hotel was great, as we only spent 2 nights in bologna and were able to wheel our luggage across the street with ease, upon arrival at the train station. we were also able to catch the aero bus across the street when we left, which gave us a quick connection to the airport., the hotel was immaculate and very quiet-we had made a special request for a quiet room in the back, as the hotel does sit on a very busy street. the bed was the most comfortable one we slept in, during our 2.5 weeks in italy and portugal! i also appreciated the marble bathroom with the huge tub. , service was prompt and efficient, nice breakfast buffet, and someone even ran a big bag of ice up to our room-for my swollen knee i had suffered in a fall while leaving firenze!, we enjoyed seeing bologna for the first time although our hearts still belong to firenze and roma. nonetheless, the hotel is comfortable, immaculate and conveniently located. we walked everywhere-even with my sore knee!

we took our 5 year old daughter so where looking for a spacious triple room, which we got. the hotel is geared for business events, but we did not spend much time in the hotel so this did not affect our stay., we used the restaurant for breakfast, which was the weakest facility that we used. the restaurant struggled to deal with the large numbers staying in terms of space and replacing empty breakfast buffet - but this was the only gripe. the bedroom facilities were excellent. overall good quality for the price.

very fine room, although near the station and one of the big roads, we heard no traffic noise. perfect breakfast. why can't we find the same price/quality in other cities?, whenever we come to bologna, we will chose this hotel again.

bologna hotel- excellent facility. as promised, the rooms had beautiful, warm "cherry wood" type wood work. very high quality. the downside/upside is that the hotel is immediately across from the bus and train station, which is a slightly congested and somewhat "grimy" area. the good news is that the close proximity to transportation is very convenient.

we were very pleased with our room, the price and the location. we arrived on the train and it was a convenient walk across the street to the hotel. the rooms were very clean, quiet and modern. the walk to the center of town was enjoyable and not far. access to the airport bus at the train station made this a perfect location for us. we would definitely stay here again.

all staff was agreeable, especially the receptionist was competent., we stayed the room,which was immaculate, comfortably with all the amenities. , it takes about 15min. to the centre on foot., it's a good distance to have a walk.

after flying direct to bologna from nz we felt like walking zombi's arriving to this hotel. it was pure heaven to walk into this beautiful hotel, no problems at check-in and find a magnificent, luxurious room awaiting us. the staff were extremely helpful and the facilities of this hotel were excellent. highly recommend it to people wanting to visit one of italy's lovliest cities.

this is a lovely hotel in terms of the modernity and newness of its facilities but there are a few wrinkles. we were apparently up-graded to a junior suite from a triple room but the room was still quite cramped for three people. our major problem was the air-conditioning: there was none! our room was like the sahara. when i complained to the front desk i was told that they were resetting the heat from their remote control panel. nothing good happened: four hours later we were still frying. eventually they told me to open a window: not something you want to do with all the noise from the major train station across the road. they declined to move us to another room on the grounds that none were available. in retrospect we should have declined to pay given the service we received!we were decidedly unimpressed. nice facilities but i wouldn't stay again. i didn't like the cavalier attitude of the staff and the disdain for our discomfort. maybe ours was an isolated incident but i cannot rate this hotel with more than a mediocre grade. nothing can compensate for the miserable, sleepless night we passed. this was our worst hotel experience in italy.

we loved staying at this hotel. the staff were wonderful and the breakfast was great. the only downside to the hotel was the area which it was in, at night it didn't feel overly safe. we would definatley stay here again.

very comfortable hotel, with large and clean rooms. the staff is always helpful. the surrounding area with the train station is not the best place in bologna. if you travel by car, the hotel has a private parking garage, although they charge quite a bit for this.

i liked the hotel very much and was there the 2nd time. the location is good as it is comnvenient to the station and the centre. my room was fine with a lot of luxury (even a stereo facility in my room), the price was good for what was offered.the breakfast buffet was with a lot of varieties and very good.i would go to that hotel the next time,too.

this hotel is just cross the street from the train station and it is easy to go to the central town by bus. the bus is working every 10 minutes. the room was very clean and enough space even bath room. breakfast has many choice to eat. we enjoyed and could remove our tireness. the reception was very kind and recommended and booked an excellent restaurant. thank you so much.

excellent value for a true 4 star in italy. the bathroom comes with it's own tv, slippers and bathrobes. public areas are modern and plush. front desk staff always seemed to be a little busy/rushed. we were a little tired of our more expensive tourist hotel in florence so came back to this hotel in bologna for a little more comfort on our last night.

very nice hotel. definately caters to business travelers. the day i arrived it was pouring rain and cold. the line at the train for a cab extended beyond the covered area. i was so happy to look across the street and see the hotel. probably a 15 minute walk or quick bus ride to the city center. on saturday am i stumbled upon a cloths/shoe/accessories flea market that had very very good bargains.

i thought this was an excellent hotel. it is very modern and probably more geared towards a business clientele but it is still worth a visit.the price for what you get is excellent and the rooms are modern and clean. we stayed there twice and on our second visit we were upgraded (through overbooking i suspect) to a junior suite. of all the places we stayed in italy this was definitely the best value for money.

the location of the hotel next to the train station was great and the room was wonderful and very quiet. the city centre was easy to walk to and the restaurant in the hotel has great service and food. the staff at the front desk were very friendly and their help in solving the problems caused by the closure of the bologna airport was greatly appreciated.

i had stayed in this hotel before but not in such a 'smart' room. i was fortunate to be upgraded to a super room. the only thing i would have liked was a better view but what can you expect from an hotel near a station? they welcomed us and, given we arrived very late, were happy to keep the bar open a little later for a drink.

the hotel is just in front of the station.the area is okay! 15 minutes walk away from the centre...the hotel is superb and posh,it looks like a 5 stars, we had a room on the top floor, no noise @ all,room was spacious and very elegant with a large bathroom with a second tv..., bologna is romantic and full of great restaurants to enjoy tortellini!, we will be back !!!

rien à redire sauf le prix du pkg.. 27 euros la nuit..., bon accès pour le centre ville , a recommander
persetta posizione, pulito e personale gentilissimo e professionale. stanze con arredo nuovo e sempre pulite. bagno spazioso e pulito. colazione abbondante. nonostante si trovi su strada ad altro traffico non si sente nessun rumore., ha reso la vacanza ancora piu' gradevole e rilassante
unica nota negativa il parcheggio nel garage che seppur comodissimo, troppo costoso (20 euro a notte...). e parcheggi liberi nelle vicinanze non ce ne sono.
