 very clean and comfortable. excellent breakfast with lots of choice. helpful and friendly staff, beatrice on reception was particularly helpful. good location away from the town centre, but not too far to walk to the restaurants and shops.

how to find the hotel route could have been better.
everything was as i expected the only let down was the booking agents wrote to my wife confirming the booking even though they had confirmed the booking to me via an email. which spoilt what was to be a suprise for our fortyth wedding anv.

everything was clean
the room was noisy (but we were moved to a quieter room when we mentioned it)
the staff and food were first class.i could not believe that it was only a 2 star hotel. it was far superior to most of the 3 star hotels that i have stayed in.

too many stairs for my mum to manage even with the life in close proximity would have preferred a ground floor room for her
